Long over due blog update, Pictures!

1. Alright so I've yet to update this blog at all since march started, and for a good reason. I've had the grind on my mind lately and have been playing like every thing poker that I've wanted to. I've played 6max cash games(25/50nl), large field tournaments, Turbo SNG's, Regular speed SNG's, 18,27,45,180, and 180 rebuy-man's. It's been funky, and I feel really good about playing poker in general right about now. Specefically, the turbo sng's have been best for me this month. I'm really happy that I decided to go back and grind out some sng's to pad the bankroll. I'll get into what I think about them next, but I just want to give a picture of how my month went:
( I decided to dis-include the sunday million result because i was staked/sattelited into it and ended up +107$ for that anyways.)
2. SO! yeah okay I chose to get into the dreaded turbo SNG's. At first I was skeptical because the maximum ROI in those, I assumez is much less than regular speed ones. However the pros definitely outweighed the cons, at least in my case:
1. The 18 man's are always running constantly, and it would take but 5-6 minutes to get 10-15 of them up and going.
2. Turbo's take much less time to complete (probably 45 min as opposed to 1-2 hours.) (Suits my situation better)
3. Alot of the regulars are 40 tabling, so there is a ton of money up for grabs vs them, (and they aren't as good as the res at the regular speed ones IMO.)
4. Learning turbo's will really help me expand my ventures into the Turbo MTT world.
Now, what I HAVE learned about these turbo's lately... Well for one, your stack size in much less effective with the faster blind structure. You absolutely have to build a stack for the late game. Having a 20bb stack with like 6-7 players left is SUCH an advantage in these, and it's worth it to make closer calls and lighter shoves. Ive also found that HU in the turbo's is much less interesting. Your effective stack is usually around 8-12bb's with just 2 players left, and there really isnt room for post flop play. I haven't really found a big edge HU other than jamming wider and such. I'll figure that one out though :) My last point on these I would like to make is: That the early game, when the blinds are between 20-50 chips, is really not that important. In the early game (just like the regular speed ones) you are just trying to double up your stake, or see really cheap flops. I'm probably going to mix in some min raises preflop with hands that aren't already made pre-flop. All of the bad players are constantly limping and overcalling and just being stationy, so it doesnt really make sense to raise up like 5x preflop with AJ-AQ when you'll be forced to check fold about 50-60% of the time. But yeah as always if anyone knows anything on these i'd take the advice to heart :D
FWIW I moved up from playing the 3$ 18 man's to the 6.5 18 man's and am confident. ( I also mix in like 3 3$ 45 mans and a 3$R 180 when i can.)

So like yeah, I've got to say, I'm MUCH more confident coming into cash games again. I'm pretty sure that like playing 3 tables is the most +EV thing for me to do. I think I've been playing about 30% of hands, and 3betting close to 10% for this hand sample. It may only be 2k hands or whatever, but I put my heart and soul into those 2k hands. 3 tabling at most and just pretty much playing regulars.
There were maybe, at most, 2 or three fish at any of my tables. I would say on average that I played all regulars and 1 fish on my tables. I couldn't believe how much money is basically freely up for grabs against regulars.
My redline in 2 out of 4 sessions was my main source of profits. Now yeah i shouldn't be playing just regs, I get that, But my goal was just to beat players and make money. I can do that playing all fish, or I can do that playing regulars. -I just sat down at whatever table had a seat, and just played. If i can have this attitude while playing AND occasionally pick the best table, then I think that's how to maximize my profits and speed up the learning curve of NL cash games. InB4MajorDownSwonglol.

(i really have to subtract about 110$ because of the Sunday mill adjustment which i messed up my last post with everythign else should be correct within about a +50 or -50$.)
Current Bankroll: 2969.84
Starting Bankroll: 1700
Total Profit Since start of semester: +$1269.84
I've also made a spreadsheet of all of my fluctuations since the last post. I'll start putting it in, because spreadsheets are cool.

1. February was an atrocious month to say the least. The month started out really strong, and then half way through there was a significant drop which ruined the entire month. The latter half of the month I spent on trying to come out of that slump, and the end of the month resulted in me featured in another downswing. I've ran close to 10 buyins above ev in the past month, which i find frustrating at times, because I consider myself to be able to beat 25nl...ughhh.
2. Anyways i think the main reason my EV is down so much is the horrible thought process I've been having in huge pots. I think I've lost every 150bb+ allin (at some point) pot in february. Some of them were coolers, and I'm sure there were a few which weren't.
3. I'm probably going to be playing SNG's this month, as it's something I've been interested in lately. Probably the 3$-6$ 18 man's. I just need to take a step back from cash games and reflect/watch videos/gain confidence again.
4. Lastly, I won a ticket to the sunday mill 215 yesterday. Me and my friend Jake where playing these certain satellites all day, because they were so soft and good format. Anyways, I ended up +219$ in those satellites, so it's like I'm being paid to play the sunday million :) Also, I'm spending the weekend improving my play in tournaments/sng's to prep for the 215. I plan on watching various TPE vids, and playing some micro tournaments.
