Long over due...

1. Alright so, I just want to say that I haven't really played as much as I would have liked to since the last post. I hit some pretty nasty downswings at my attempt for the 16$ turbo 18 mans. Also I attempted to play some Omaha cash games at 10nl deep and 25nl. The games were so ridiculously soft, yet I ran bad in them. I suck at omaha, I'll admit that, but everyone else was definitley worse (atleast at those stakes.)

2. Both attempts, at the 16's and the Omaha cash games were completely un-called for. I shouldn't have played in either of them TBH. They are both high variance, and my skill edge is relatively small. That alone is completely contradictory to trying to build my bankroll further. Getting out of that downswing is why I haven't posted for a while.

3. Anyways, I wanted to dedicate this post to something I have really learned over the past semester, here it goes...

First of all when you make a goal (that is top priority), you must do whatever you can, to achieve that goal. For me at least, I want to complete this goal as quickly as possible. You shouldn't be "trying new things" and playing a higher stake just because you have the bank roll for it. Whatever your goal is you should achieve it first. You can of course adjust the goal to whatever your preferences are (especially if you've made a goal that wasn't what you expected).

So, my thought process goes something like this: *What what is my top priority goal?>>> Are there any time constraints?>>> If yes, whats the fastest way to complete the goal? >>> Setup a plan of how many/what hours to play>>> Grind whatever that is. >>> Run good and achieve goal. Or if you are Colt, run bad and hate life :D

I've just said all that because when i started playing the 16's and Omaha, I was really losing sight of my top priority goal. By doing this, I first of all, lost a good mindset, secondly, went backwards on my bankroll goal, and thirdly put in less volume overall because of this. Looking at those results, what does it sound like to you?

Conclusively,
-If you lose sight of your top priority goal, and are not doing what you've found to be the most efficient way of achieving that goal; then that is a form of tilt - and needs to be addressed accordingly.

After all this, I think I'm going to play in some 5$ regular speed SNG's and see if I can beat it for 20%. If I can, I'll play those instead of turbos lol. I know it sounds contradictory (amiright?)
