1. January started out strong. I was able to put in 1k hands a day from the day I started playing (about the 20th. I ran pretty hot in the beginning and was focusing on beating the regs to the best that I could. However, while I was doing this I was being a little to creative and doing this such as: 3betting a guy with any hand that I felt playable but not thinking about the range I should be 3 betting, (mainly a balanced range or a polarized range. Thanks Steve, I really am working on getting this down pat). I also was running pretty hot in the sense that because I'm a new player, no reg had hands on me. I would go right at it and attacking them with 3bets or 4bets and I feel that they didn't know what type of player I am and were more fit/fold against me. And lastly, I was just put in perfect spots to bluff post flop, and I ran into players weaker hands a lot. This went on for about 8k hands. I'm pretty happy with how I played during this period because I played pretty much to the best of my ability with what I knew at the time.
2. Towards the later half of the month, I started to run bad, overall. Firstly, I was starting to adjust my 3b range of hands accordingly to the right players (whether balanced or polarized). I still am doing this, and learning fwiw. But, after that first 8k hands I played in a way that forced regs to adjust. They started jamming on me wider, started calling 3bets in position, and started flatting my check raises IP. That's pretty much the best strategy to play against me before (and prob still is). I think because of this, my red line went from break even/up, to nearly straight down (and so did my winnings). However, I think now- the decent (lol no money everyone's solid) regs have adjusted to me based on that 8k hands(ie: started getting it in lighter and floating more). I have re-adjusted to those guys in the sense that I'm not going to 4bet bluff those who don't fold to my 4bets lol. So now when he calls or w.e I have a much stronger range than he thinks and I soul own him. Lastly, I ran bad in the sense that I was forced into such shitty decisions. Things like flopping TPGK, betting and getting floated, and then getting C/R on the turn when I pick up a FD. Or like when I have a small overpair vs a 40bb stack and it goes in on the flop and he shows top set, everytime. Every turn and river card over the last 5k hands have seemed to just completely ruin my hand vs villain's range. And almost everytime they have shown up with the nuts because of that.

3. LOL anyways, I hope next month goes at least as well as this month, if not, then better. This month has been a great learning experience for me at 100bb poker, I'm probably getting to be much better at 100bb poker than I have ever been relative to 25nl. I feel like if I'm going to be playing 25nl for a while until the bankroll comes, then I'm going to gain the maximum value I can from learning and experience. What I mean is, the player pool at 25nl on GR88 is small enough to play thousands of hands with the same players - and just the art of learning about your opponent and how he plays is a learning experience. It is big enough pool for un-skilled players to come in and gamble it up with us though, and that's what keeps me playing on the site of course. Lastly, it's such a good thing to be playing 100bb poker now, because of the recent changes on stars. It may affect my overall volume when I start going for supernova on stars, but my skill advantage will be much higher than ever.
